As we expand internationally, we are seeking a Managing Director based in Singapore to lead Vell's operations and strategic expansion in Singapore and the broader Asia-Pacific region. The Managing Director will be responsible for representing the company locally, supporting regulatory engagement, overseeing regional operations, and driving strategic partnerships across the region. This role will work closely with the global leadership team to ensure strong governance, compliance, and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the establishment and growth of Vell’s presence in Singapore and the wider Asia-Pacific region.
- Represent the company with local stakeholders, partners, and financial institutions.
- Support strategic initiatives to expand Vell’s product offerings and market presence.
- Ensure the company maintains compliance with Singapore financial regulations.
- Support engagement with relevant regulatory authorities and licensing processes.
- Provide governance oversight for the Singapore entity.
- Identify and develop strategic partnerships with banks, payment providers, and financial institutions.
- Support corridor expansion and regional market development.
- Oversee local operations and ensure alignment with global operational standards.
- Work closely with compliance, risk, and operations teams to maintain strong internal controls.
- Work with global leadership to shape the company’s Asia-Pacific strategy.
- Provide market insights to inform product development and regional growth initiatives.
Requirements
- Senior leadership experience in fintech, payments, banking, or financial services
- Strong understanding of cross-border payments or financial infrastructure
- Experience working with financial regulators or supporting licensing processes
- Demonstrated ability to build strategic partnerships within the financial industry
- Experience in payments, remittance, or digital financial services
- Must be resident in Singapore
